Virtual Exodus?
the ICE shooting in Minneapolis happened a week ago. This information crossed my desk, so to speak, because I'm on Instagram and Tumblr. As infuriated as I was to hear that this happened, I did not watch any footage. My nervous system can't handle it. What I did watch were tens of videos of outraged people on Instagram, each time I absent-mindedly opened the app and doom-scrolled. It started to click after a while that I was damaging my mental health. I deleted my instagram and my tumblr in one fell swoop I feel good about it so far. I've been making better use of my time. i'm reading more, especially graphic novels, which are way more exciting than scrolling. Currently reading: Sandman. I'm also playing video games again!
